A stimulating playful workshop on “Motivational Skills” was organized in the school campus on 24th June 2016. The resource person was Mr. Rishabh Khanna. About a hundred fifty teachers participated in the workshop.
Mr. Rishabh Khanna demonstrated how a range of different strategies can be employed to motivate students and create an appropriate learning environment in the class. He showed how the same subject can become dull and tedious in one class and vibrant, interesting and exciting in another by use of certain motivating techniques.
Narrating some interesting anecdotes, he stressed on the need for the teachers to step out of the periphery of stereotyped teaching and use new exciting innovative methods to engage the students, specially now, when they have an easy access to the internet and can question the information the teacher has given.
In a fun filled activity he proved how the objectives of teaching learning should be clearly defined and focused on, and not lost in the process.
