What is STEM?
There is a lot of buzz around STEM education these days in advanced countries like the United States and across some of the leading schools even in India. What exactly is STEM education?

STEM education is all about the teaching of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math as interconnected disciplines. It is an integrated approach to help students connect Math and Science learning to real world applications, ensuring they stay engaged. Technology and digital tools are an integral part of our 21st century world. Preparing our students to leverage them for learning with technological tools is key to success. The hands-on projects of STEM learning teaches children how to design and engineer, as a structured process, and create innovative solutions to problems.

STEM education has been proved to be an effective way to help students acquire skills like creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills. It does so in a way that makes learning Science and Math fun, integrating technological tools like tablets and internet usage. There is substantial evidence to show that students' academic scores improve but also students gain deeper understanding of the subject, alongside life and leadership skills.

Camp K-12

Neerja Modi School has tied up with Camp K-12 Innovations, which is a rapidly growing organization offering creative technology courses to students from Kindergarten to 12th grade to build their knowledge and personality. It has introduced the concept of App Development (a first for India) to school students; currently they have trained thousands of students in logical app development, which is also helping students perform in their academic and extra-curricular activities.
It engages students to bring out their creativity as well as motivate them to use technology to solve community and real world issues. They mentor the students to get the best out of them. Most importantly, they teach students how to communicate and grow into confident & well-learned individuals.
Camp K-12 courses are designed to supplement and enhance a student’s creative learning and to prepare them to have a global edge in the use of Technology tools. To create an exquisite, fun-filled learning experience for campers, they recruit and train instructors from top engineering institutes all over India (such as IIT, NSIT, DTU etc.) who bring a unique blend of subject matter expertise and communication skills.
