dance

Dance is based on knowledge of the human body and psyche, trust in the joy of movement and in expressive arts.

We use  movement and dance experience as a metaphor for life experience as movement is the most natural expression of life itself. Movement is divine communication with everything around and inside us.

Dance is an educational, fun-filled healthy activity that improves the co-ordination of the child, and promotes quick thinking, discipline and self confidence. There are no shortcuts to good dancing. It is important from the very beginning to learn the program basicDances of Four Seasons - NMS 1st Annual Functions.

Indian Dance is a study in Indian modes of living. Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Oddisi, Manipuri, Kathakkali and the folk dances give us a glimpse of our vibrant colourful heritage. It is a study of nature, of a world view and a philosophy of the destiny of mankind. It is a study of the techniques of expression that are symbolic designs derived from this philosophy. It is a study of the norms of beauty evolved by a culture to sensitize and sublimate the senses.

Students at NMS also undergo a carefully graded and well-defined  schedule of  Dance Forms ranging form specialised hand and foot  movements, facial expressions  to full sequels of artistic performance in  the classical arena.
