9th Annual Sports Day of NMS Preprimary & Grade I

Neerja Modi School celebrated the IX ANNUAL SPORTS DAY of Pre-primary and Grade I on Saturday, December 11, 2010 in its lower field.
The theme for the sports day was “Colours”. Children from both the shifts of Pre-primary and Grade I participated in the different races based on different vibrant colours like yellow, golden, red, blue, silver, purple, green, orange etc. with lot of enthusiasm, zeal and displayed true sportsmanship.

The show began with the torch bearing followed by oath taking ceremony in which the Sr. Kg. students participated. The Principal of the School Mrs. Kanak Khanna declared the Sports Meet open.
The first one to take over the field was the youngest lot of playgroup athletes with their colourful pin wheels. They were followed by children of Nursery, Jr.Kg, Sr.Kg and Grade I.

Some of the main attractions were the races like ‘the blue whale race’, ‘the black tyre race’, ‘the pink city race’, ‘the blue sand transfer race’, ‘the orange pumpkin race’, ‘the green frog race’, ‘the golden treasure hunt race’, and ‘the rainbow obstacle race’. The races concluded with festive ‘Santa and Christmas tree decoration races’ to highlight the onset of Christmas festival.
Parents also participated actively in the races like ‘brick race’ and ‘blind fold obstacle race’. Awards were given in all categories and all the participants were given chocolate medals to keep up the spirit. The event concluded with a vote of thanks.
