Earth Day April 22, 2010

To bring out the importance of protecting our planet earth and also to remind as to how fast we are speeding up to the destruction of our planet, Earth Day was observed in the school. The main objective of all the activities done was to draw everyone’s attention to the urgent need to help, stop the Earth’s destruction. Grade I and II made beautiful paper bags using the old newspapers and decorated them. They were also taken to the school fields where they picked up the litter on the fields giving a message to everyone to clean up their surroundings.
The students of grade III & IV on the other hand read a beautiful poem on Earth Titled ‘The earth Day Poem’ describing the connectivity between the earth and mankind. The story of Earth Day in the form of deciphering picture was very interesting and was enjoyed by the students. Students of grade III even wrote letters to god telling him about their likes and dislikes about their city Jaipur. On the whole it was a wrathful day which brought a lot of awareness in the students about how to save their planet.
