Aladdin - Around the World

Learning and appreciation of the unparalleled India art being an intrinsic part of the School curriculum, the function sumptuously displays the massive effort under taken by the school to cultivate the aesthetic sense of dance, drama, music and theatrical skills amongst the children.

On 5 May, 2010 the Shiamak Davar show, “Alladin- Around the world” was staged by Neerja Modi School at Birla Auditorium.
Instructors from Shiamak Davar’s Institute for the Performing Arts, especially trained by Shiamak, conducted classes for over 400 students from Neerja Modi School from 2nd to the 12th Standard. Workshop was started at School on 19th April and culminated into a show put up by the school students on 5th May at Birla Auditorium.

Students were taught a variety of dance styles including Rock n Roll, Afro Jazz, and Shiamak’s Bollywood Jazz etc. Our International boarders also participated. The students put up a dazzling show with the theme: Aladdin, around the world. At the show, students showcased dance forms from various countries and also put up an act on anti-terrorism.

Dance helps build confidence through all round development. It is a program specially designed for the students so that the children gain from the benefits of dance and make it a part of their weekly activity.
