discussion on 'Education for the Global Economy'
The globalization of the world economy
needs globally competitive workers who are equipped with the skills
and technologies to work in a global market. This has a far reaching
impact on the type of education imparted to students in India. In
connection with the Sept-Oct 2007 SPAN Education Special issue, SPAN
in collaboration with USEFI proposes to organize a panel discussion
on the subject of “Education for the Global Economy”. The discussion
will bring together Indian and American experts to discuss how
Indian education system can be made more globally relevant and
competitive. Panelist would also include student leaders and
Fulbright scholars who will share their experiences on education in
the context of globalization.
