Mabel’s
Birthday Party
Hey! Its party time for Grade II as our
main character of the reader (Mabel) is going to celebrate her
birthday party with us, on 13th Sept. Mabel’s favourite colour is
‘RED’, so the theme of our party is colour ‘red’. Hence on the 13th
we have to dress, eat and talk all ‘red’ it seems.
Our whole grade including the teachers were dressed in shimmering
red. The classrooms were decorated with red balloons, red ribbons
and red crepe paper and imagine our party menu included red things
sparking red like – jelly, yummy cake, roohafza, biscuits, jam
sandwitches. To make the party more lively we played interesting
games like musical chairs, passing the parcel and the children’s
creativity came down on the paper by drawing maximum things within a
given time period.
The day ended off with lingering memories of Mabel’s Birthday Party
is red and a return gift from Mabel – a puppet of Mabel prepared by
children.
