A step towards
collaboration with Universities abroad
Mr. Gar Kellom, Vice President for
Student Development at Saint John’s University in Collegeville,
Minnesota, USA visited the school on 11 September. Our school has
been advertising through their career office for students and
teachers to do teaching at our school and volunteering at Nischay.
His visit was aimed at discussing the ways for effective promotion
of this opportunity to their students at Saint John’s University and
their sister school, the College of Saint Benedict. Between the two
institutions they have 4000 students, many of whom desire an
international experience during or after school.
He discussed the areas in which two institutions can work together
and have a long-term strategic relationship which is mutually
beneficial for the students at each end. He showed keen interest in
having his students visit the school every year not only for
teaching assignments but also for undertaking Training program for
International Teaching. He plans to visit the school again along
with a group of students and faculty members later this year.
