Theatre Workshop – Grade III

“You can’t run a society or cope with its problems if people are not held accountable for what they do”
To enlighten the children about the social problems like literacy and to teach them the technicalities of theatre, a workshop was organized in the school for the students of grade III from 23rd September to 10th October 08 by Ms. Nisha and Mr. Abhishek. They enlightened the children about the various aspects and features of drama and theatre and finally staged it an 11th October 08 at Birla Auditorium.
The children through their play ‘Aadmi Ka Aa’ tried to raise the issue of illiteracy prevalent in our country. On the contrary ‘Ashoka Ka Shastra Tyag’ took the people back in the times of king Ashoka and depicted his transformation in life from evil to good beautifully. Two other plays namely, “
Chi Chi” and ‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhina’ took the people into the fantasy world. There were even classical songs presentations on Raag Malcos and Raag Yaman given by the children which left the audience awestruck. An instrumental orchestra presentation an the Song ‘Basche Man Ke Sach’ Left everyone spellbound. The show was highly applauded and appreciated by the parents.
