Annual Sports Day

NMS celebrated the Children’s Day (14th
November) by holding their Eighth Sports Meet thereby realizing Nehru’s
cherished dreams of ‘Liberated childhood’. It was a day full of fun and
frolic where the students brimming with enthusiasm and just assembled in
their respective House arenas.
The meet was given a flying start with the torch bearers – Shilpa
Baregama Grade XII and Dushyant Katewa Class XII carrying the flame
round the track and lighting the cauldron of sports meet. This was
followed by a smart March Past by NMS students along their respective
House contingents, led by Nitin Choudhary.
The meet was declared open by Sir Omkar Singh. Keeping in mind the
spirit of a true sportsman, Nitin Choudhary led the oath taking ceremony
by all participants.
The students cheered their house participants and spurred them to go
beyond their best. Parent’s presence peseta enthused the participants to
manifest their hidden potentialities. The medal distribution ceremony
was held at regular internals. The confidence and the beaming smile of
the winners to the victory podium conveyed the message of many potential
Olympians at NMS sports ground.
