Recitation Competition
The School closed for the summer break
with an exciting and stimulating event – ‘The English Recitation
Competition.’ It was held for grade V to VIII on the 1st and 2nd of May.
The fifth graders, though tiny in size were grand in their oration. They
came forth with much acclaimed poems like – ‘The Daffodils’, ‘She walks
in Beauty’, ‘From the Railway Carriage’ and many others. Vaayu house
took the lead with Shruti Jain of VA and Rishabh Bhandari of VC both
vying for the 1st position. Tanisha Goel V C, Agni House was close on
their heels at 2nd position and Nandini Sarogi VA, Prithvi House secured
the 3rd position.
Students of Grade VI were equally eloquent, with poems like stopping by
the woods’, ‘If’ and ‘feiseue’ Shagun Bose VI G, Prithvi House triumphed
over the other participants by winning the 1st position, Divya Agarwal,
VI D, Neer House was 2nd Ananya Jain, VI C walked off with the 3rd
Position.
In grade VII Sarthak Shah of VII D gave an outstanding performance
securing the 1st position Urvashi Mishra of VII A was IInd and Sandalika
Sapra of VII F pocketed the 3rd position.
Madhur Mehta of class VIII E, Agni house almost moved the audience to
tears with his heart – rending recital – O captain, My Captain. Saisha
Singh, VIII D Agni House took the 2nd position and Vandana Akhramka,
VIII A, Vaayu House stood 3rd.
All in all, the children gave superb performances and the Recitation
Competition was a grand success.
