Kangaroo Kids the Pre-Primary wing of Neerja Modi School celebrated its
Fourth Annual Day towards the close of their Academic Session.
The theme delved in was “Celebrations”. Through the medium of
music and dance, glimpses of religious, national and international
festivals were beautifully and effectively portrayed. Rejoicing clubbed
with the element of divine worship is natural not only to India but the
world over.
Parallels were etched between Gudi Parva the New Year in the lunar month
of Chaitra and April fool’s day of the Solar Calendar. Another
pleasurable delight was the depiction of Yuan-Tan the Chinese New Year.
Seasons have always had a great impact on every civilization and
“Maslyanitsa” the Russian traditional carnival is just another instance
of the same. It celebrates the onset of spring after the long, severe
Siberian cold.
From Rio Carnival to Halloween to Mother’s Day and Radha Astami the
canvas was diverse and all encompassing over 450 students had a unique
opportunity to experience the authentic and vibrant celebrations of many
cultures.
