The Summer
Academic Excellence Crash Course
An action packed Crash
Course for Academic excellence is being conducted at the school which is
another step towards making the summer vacations prolific. The crash
course was introduced in the year 2008 and received a fairly good
response. But year 2009 saw an overwhelming response.
The course is conducted for Grades 3-11 over an uninterrupted duration
of 32 days where the course for Grade 3-5 is preparatory in nature
(preparing the students to tackle competitive exams like Olympiads etc
successfully and confidently). For Grades 6 to 11 the NCERT Syllabus is
exhaustively covered. The subjects covered in the course are
Mathematics, Science and English.
Apart from Academics, the children have an activity period wherein they
can enjoy an array of activities like swimming, instrumental music, Art
and Craft, Chess, Computers, Skating, Basket Ball etc. Another
attractive feature of the Crash Course is the PSS or the Problem Solving
Session which is a two hour session in the afternoon and an hour long
session at night. The Sundays are reserved for testing the students on
the course during the week.
On the completion of the course the students shall receive a ‘question
bank’ having approximately a thousand question covering the entire
course of science and Maths.
The Crash Course is easy paced as they have drink and snack recesses of
tem minutes each and a break of one and a half hours for rest and lunch
in the afternoon. The relaxed manner of studies and the one to one
relationship is especially beneficial for the comparatively shy and
reticent students.
