An enticing
International Inter School Cricket Tournament commences
Neerja Modi School has a strong Cricket tradition and The Neerja Modi
T-20 School world Cup Tournament which commenced on the 14th of July,
2008 is another step forward towards strengthening this tradition. The
tournament is being held on the Neerja Modi School Grounds. The teams
participating are Indian High School (Dubai), Delhi Public School (Jaipur),
Ryan International (Jaipur) and Neerja Modi School (Jaipur). The
Tournament is governed by ICC T-20 rules.
Cricket is a national obsession for us Indians, and this was reflected
clearly in the enthusiasm shown by the participating teams as well as
all the viewers. The aim of organizing such tournaments is not only
about teaching boys to play good cricket but also to help students build
a spirit of sportsmanship. All the boys displayed great physical fitness
and sports prowess. The start of the Tournament saw an exciting match
between Neerja Modi School and Delhi Public School and the host school
won this match. Two matches shall be played everyday from the 14th to
the 16th of July’08 and shall be followed by the finals on the 17th of
July’08.
