English poem recitation competition

Poetry is the essence of literature. To spread the aroma of poetry; the English poem recitation competition was held on July 17, 2008 in the school for the grades V and VI. The poems were recited beautifully; keeping in mind the rhythm, mood, diction and expressions. Certain poems recited, managed to create images in the minds.

The classics like the ‘Palanquin beares, ‘by Sarojini Naidu; ‘The Road not taken’ by Robert Forst, ‘I can not remember’ by Ravindra Nath Tagore, were also recited, which enlivened the mood and enabled the children to develop taste and appreciation for Poetry. The aroma of Poetry Shall linger on and on and on . . . for day’s altogether.
