Dilanthi Ranaweera, Middlebury College

Ms. Dilanthi Ranaweera from Middlebury College – Vermont was in NMS for a month long visit. During her stay here she conducted English workshops for students of grade VIII. The main focus of the sessions conducted by Ms. Dilanthi was to build students’ confidence in public speaking, develop a good vocabulary for effective communication and clear expression. Creative writing was another part of these sessions and encouraged active participation of the students.

She also spent productive time with the Nischay students and gave them valuable inputs regarding the correct usage of English language. All the sessions had various relevant activities which made the learning more effective and enjoyable.
