A volunteer from UK for NMS and Nischay
Neerja Modi School and
Nischay School were delighted to invite Miss Tina Jhalli to work as a
teacher in both schools for 2months. Tina is a 25 year old teacher from
Bedford (near London), England. She has been teaching for over2 years
and specialises in arts and crafts, English and theatre and drama. Her
work in the UK includes working with local children who are affected by
disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy and wheelchair users. She is also
heavily involved with children with learning disabilities such as Autism
and behavioural disorders. Her family are originally from Punjab, and
have been settled in the UK for over 40 years.

Tina Jhalli's Experience
“Teaching at Nischay and
NMS has been one of the best experiences of my life! In NMS I was
teaching English and EVS to grades 3 and 4. The children here were
extremely good-natured, courteous and pleasant. At Nischay, I taught
various subjects including English, arts and drama across all age
groups. The Nischay students were incredibly amiable and whole-heartedly
generous and I built up some excellent relationships with these
students. It really will be sad for me to leave. I plan to continue
working with children in charities and schools in the UK and I will
certainly be coming back to visit the students from Nischay! I would
like to sincerely thank everyone involved for such an amazing experience
and I hope to see you all very soon!”
