NMS Sixth Annual Function

The Sixth Annual Prize Giving Ceremony of the senior section of the Neerja Modi School was held on 23rd December at the sprawling grounds of the school. Approximately 150 students participated in the function by giving an enchanting performance

The student achievers were felicitated by certificates and cups. Jasleen Kaur of Grade XI was awarded the prestigious Vimla Gupta Gold Medal for the Best Girl student for all around excellence.

However, the highlight of the evening was the students’ performance in “My Fair Lady”, a delightful musical adaptation of George Bernard Shaw’s play Pygmalion, directed by Mr. Vishal Asrani. The finer nuances of the play were very aptly brought forth by the students which enthralled the audience. The play is a charming and amusing satire on the absurdity of rigid class distinction. Students in the role of Eliza, Higgins and Pickering were no less than an Oscar winner.

Yet another scintillating performance was the Geendar dance from Jodhpur presented by the students of Grade IV. All in all, it was a day to remember for all those who were present at the show.
