Dear Parent,
As I write this letter, the first batch of our students from Grade XII
have already taken their Board Examinations. Their academic journey with
us has ended. However, the real journey of their life is just about to
begin, of which we will always remain a part, as their almamater. A
sense of satisfaction also pervades as the first batch of Nischay Girls
have taken their Grade VIII Rajasthan Board Examinations, their results
have been outstanding. It has been a source of immense pride and is a
giant leap towards our ‘Nischay’. I take this opportunity to thank all
the parents who have supported this initiative in their own special way.
At this moment I strongly feel, now we are ready to make new beginnings.
As we begin the Seventh Academic year, we embark upon new horizons by
associating ourselves with diverse domestic and international
educational initiatives.
Neerja Modi School has already become a candidate IB World School. We
propose to introduce the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP)
which is a 2 year pre-university program of studies for grades XI and
XII in 2009-2010 in addition to our CBSE Board. Efforts are also afoot
to give our students the benefit of the IB formative courses, the
Primary Years Program (PYP) and Middle Years Program (MYP) in 2009-2010.
These transdisciplinary programs draw on a wealth of knowledge and
experience from international schools to create a relevant, engaging,
challenging and significant educational framework for all children.
Hence students can become a part of this highly acclaimed international
curriculum which will be delivered by national and international staff.
Training and hiring of professional experts from Mumbai, U.K., Singapore
and Thailand is underway.
The school is also preparing to offer international A and AS level
courses for Grades XI and XII credited by University of Cambridge (UK)
in 2009-2010.
As regards our International Program we deeply cherish our ongoing
partnership with Harker School of USA. As we grow, we extend our
International Exchange Program this year through interactive online
exchange and student exchange program with various international
schools. The success of our Video Conferencing facility, for parents and
teachers, between Jaipur and Mumbai has prompted us to extend this
facility to students to interact with their counterparts in schools
overseas. We have initiated a Students’ Exchange Program in 2007 where
our students are being hosted by various reputed schools in Indonesia,
New Zealand, Pakistan, Canada and USA. An enthusiastic group of our
students of middle school are visiting Point View School, Auckland, New
Zealand for a three week exchange program in May, 2007. Another group of
high school students is visiting Raffles International School, Indonesia
in May, 2007.
As we open new avenues to provide diverse learning experiences to our
students, we would like you, as partners, to take interest in
understanding these dynamic initiatives. Your active involvement and
support is essential in helping us guide your children to a bright
future.
