Neerja Modi School | A Global Institute

At NMS, we provide our students an edge over the others by cultivating future-ready skills. Thereby, entrusting the young minds the ability to maneuver and adapt to the dynamic changes of the real world. Our Advanced Program goes over and beyond the regular school curriculum and is curated to accelerate the learning curve for the future Thought Leaders and Change Makers.

STEM - Neerja Modi School, as the pioneer of progressive education, now brings world-class STEM Education to its elite students through Creya XEL: the studio based hands-on learning program in implementation across leading schools of India and abroad. Creya XEL provides an inspiring learning environment in the studio with diverse constructible sets, a structured project-based learning curriculum and above all, trained teachers for delivering the program effectively. The program has demonstrated improved academic scores improve and provided a deeper understanding of the subject as well as life and leadership skills.

STEM education is all about the teaching of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math as interconnected disciplines. It is an integrated approach to help students connect Math and Science learning to real world applications, ensuring they stay engaged. Technology and digital tools are an integral part of our 21st century world. Preparing our students to leverage them for learning with technological tools is key to success. The hands-on projects of STEM learning coach students about the application of design and engineering, as a structured process, and create innovative solutions to problems.

STEM education has a proven track record of being an impactful method to help students acquire skills like creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills. It does so in a way that makes learning Science and Math fun, integrating technological tools like tablets and internet usage.

Robotics is introduced in grade 1 and the students build their knowledge up to grade 8. State of the art assembly kits are provided to each of the students to help them shape ideas. Our students participated in the Toyathlon, a national level contest organized by the government of India and got selected for the national round. They have also been participating in the World Robotic Challenge. Our students from Grade 10 are also the highlight of the Technovation Girls Challenge, raring to fill the gender gap in the technology industry.

Python is an interpreted high-level general-purpose programming language. Its design philosophy emphasizes code readability with its use of significant indentation. Its language constructs as well as its object-oriented approach aim to help programmers write clear, logical code for small and large-scale projects. We introduce this as part of the Advanced Program to help students learn the Objective/Intention for the code along with methods to achieve the set goals and measure results effectively.

Design Thinking

World as we know, is conceived by the thinkers and the innovators, it’s constantly evolving and it demands superior leadership skills. We are cognizant of the impact our students could make as the change makers of the society globally. To enable this, we have included ‘Design Thinking’ as part of the Advanced Programs.

This utilizes a set of cognitive, strategic and practical processes by which design concepts are developed. This course prepares students with problem solving abilities and create innovative solutions to real life situations
