Marine Day Annual Function
September 28-29, 2003

Throughout life children take on new information through their senses and learn by what  they taste, touch and smell. Kangaroo Kids celebrated Sense Booth Day on 28th & 29th September to provide children with experiences to enable them to learn through their senses. Activities related to all the five senses provided the children the opportunity to do, to actively move and participate and to explore their senses.

The ocean has a lot of treasures hidden in it. Marine Days from 29th to 31st October at Kangaroo Kids was an effort to reveal these treasures to the tiny tots.

A number of activities were organized  to get the children acquainted with the life lying beneath. A variety of fish were put on display in beautiful aquariums. Everyone’s eyes were glued to the amazing wonders of nature. The models and science experiments; as of Baleen Whales, demonstrated by teachers were not only attractive but also informative.

The puppet show depicted the hunt of hidden treasures under the sea by the scuba diver and his friends. The Marine Days were full of entertainment with story telling and nursery rhymes. The childrens made merry dancing to the tunes of the underground band with teachers dressed as Marine Animals. It was evident from the paper plate aquarium at the ‘Crafty Corner’ that the kids learnt a lot.

The motive behind all this was to give the students a clear picture of fish life. They were made to see what they are taught in class.

The Marine Day was a successful combination of knowledge, information, art and entertainment.

March 22, 2003

The presentation by over 300 Pre-primary children of Kangaroo Kids depicting their innermost feelings and dreams mesmerized the audience at Birla Auditorium  on March 22, 2003. Woven around the theme "Lets dream on, Lets creep and crawl into paradise". Little heads and feet swayed gracefully through musical compositions like - I have a dream, A song to sing, To help me cope with anything.

The pleasure of seeing children's technicolour dreams and getting to know some of the fantasies experienced by their child was an opportunity few could miss. In a house packed to capacity pride and happiness to be part of the event was writ large on every face.

Sports Day

December 15, 2002

Kangaroo Kids celebrated their 2nd Annual Sports Day on 15th December 2002. The theme for the Sports Day was "The Animal Parade" where animals from all over the world visited the play fields of the school. The children dressed up as animals participated in various races which were relays and obstacle courses or which required children to perform simple tasks.
The programme also had highlights like the drill performed by 138 children of Sr. KG and a daring gymnastic display where children jumped through a ring of fire. The parents were not far behind as they enthusiastically participated in the parent races.
A truly exciting performance by all who participated with honesty and the will to win, made the show a great success.
