Drawing and Colouring Competition

October 28, 2002

The competition was organized by Allianz Bajaj, which acted like a forum wherein the children expressed their aspirations in keeping with the topic “When I grow up, I would like to be a …………”. The children enjoyed the activity immensely as it provided them with an opportunity to demonstrate their painting skills thereby adding to their creativity and freedom of expression. The organizers gave attractive prizes to the winners.

School Community Service Programme..... miles to go

October 30,2002

At NMS, the spirit of service has always been inculcated in our students, and community service is an integral part of the school activities.
The students of classes VII and VIII went on a community service programme to a public park at V. T. Road near New Sanganer Road. The children helped in cleaning the playground by removing weeds, wild plants etc. with the help of gardening tools. They also planted saplings which they procured from the School nursery. Eight plants were planted in the name of the school. Ankit of class VIII enjoyed the cleaning whereas Suprateek from the same class was overjoyed tinkering with the gardening tools.

Earlier to this, the park was in a very poor condition. The drive to clean up the park was taken up by the senior students as part of their S.U.P.W. project. The park has now been made fit for public use and children of the locality have a good place to play.

It is a good beginning and we hope to do much more of the same in the future.

Better Tommorow, A Better Land, Conserving Oil is in our Hand
January 31, 2003

An Interesting workshop on petroleum conservation was organized for the students of Classes VI and VII by the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (Northern Region) under the Ministry of Petroleum. The main objective of the workshop was to create an awareness for conservation of the Petroleum Products.

It was indeed brain storming throughout, where the students had to think and answer. This was then followed by a multiple choice questionnaire which our children filled up enthusiastically. Prizes in the form of Cups and Certificates were given to the most well informed students. Vinod Meena of Class VII was awarded the First Prize, Rohit Chandak from the same class bagged the Second Prize followed by Anudeep Beniwal from VII who got the third Prize.

All in all it was an interesting session with the message
Not To Misuse Fuel.

Knowledge Lingers, Wisdom Wins

Creative Academy, which happens to be a dynamic professional organization, conducted “a wisdom test” for students of classes III to VIII for recognizing and rewarding talent. The children enthusiastically participated in the above contest.

The School Orchestra
Music is the "Language of the Angles." The School has developed an orchestra with amateur violinists, guitarists, drummers, tabla, piano and synthesizer players. The group is always enthusiastic and ready to play at every small and big function.
